So how do you get into Higher Education?
This is a question we get asked a lot. There’s loads of routes, straight in like a diver, through work like you’re joining the motorway, or with a foundation.
If degree study is new to you or you are uncertain about where to start, look at the OCA’s Open Foundations courses. These courses are all designed to lead you into degree-level study, get you thinking academically, and putting you in the best position to start.
These courses will provide the building blocks you will need to start out on a degree pathway and will help to build your confidence, and familiarise you with the study skills you need.
Best of all? You don’t need any qualifications to join. Our open access commitment means anyone can join and begin in Higher Education.
By choosing to study OCA’s Open Foundations courses you will get the same level support as OCA undergraduates, and can join study events, access the OCA student website, participate in online forums, and tap into resources there.
Completing the course is an achievement in itself, showing you that you’re a successful artist or designer. It’s not just that though; you will gain the confidence that you are ready for degree study and progress in your subject.
OCA has foundation courses in Drawing, Creative Writing, Photography, Music, Textiles, Drawing for Textile Art, Design and Fashion and Interior Design so there’s a wealth of options to kickstart your jump into education.
This has been our second day of #accessoca, join us tomorrow to found how money is no issue to studying.
