Degree-level printmaking distance learning with OCA
Putting your name to an edition, out there for all to see brings a sense of achievement for any budding printmaker.
Printmaking itself has a rich history, and innumerable cultural contexts, allowing for a broad and rewarding learning journey as you try out new experiences you may not have been exposed to.
You’ll explore engraving, etching, wood-relief, monoprint and more to create exciting new designs and templates enabling you to create editions. Even within each edition, each single issue can take on its own life creating a dynamic set of images.
Printmaking is a key element of Fine Art practice, something you can learn about on our BA (Hons) Fine Art degree, but also in combination with our BA (Hons) Drawing, and BA (Hons) Painting degrees.
It also has application in Illustration, Photography, and Visual Communications, with our respective degrees offering opportunities to explore printmaking in their contexts.
Or you could combine printmaking with another distinctive creative practice on our BA (Hons) Creative Arts degree.
