I am grateful to tutor Alan Byrne for drawing Sarah Cowan’s work to my attention. Sarah’s blog systematically records her working through the projects in Art of Photography and Sarah’s progress is clearly evident in the final project from which this shot of Venice is taken. It is actually quite difficult in locations which are as picturesque as Venice to produce an assignment which gets beyond the tourist views, but Sarah succeeds admirably.

Go Sarah! Yes, As. 5 is something very special. I do however like your ‘doing the washing’ narrative too, the way you photograph and processed it really tells a story of something everyday.
Well done, and congrats. Well deserved.
I really enjoyed the gondola pictures. A great choice of subject and beautifully shot. Each one is a reward in itself!
A really interesting blog Sarah – well done! I agree with Dewald about the washing project. I also really liked the triangles picture in your colour assignment – very surreal.
Lovely to look and the images almost speak for themselves.
