Figuring it out!
Figure Drawing is the theme of our next art study visit and practical workshop. Barnsley Artist and OCA tutor Jane Lazenby will be leading this highly popular workshop at York Art Gallery on the 25th June.
The workshop will start with a tour and introduction to the William Etty exhibition – Art and Controversy.
Participants will then move to the workshop room for a practical workshop on figure drawing. The morning session will be concerned with representing proportions through sketching, and the afternoon session will be concerned more with experimentation within your chosen coloured media using one long pose from the model.
Participants are expected to provide their own materials for this workshop. To reserve your place please send an email to enquiries@oca-uk.com The study visit is open to all OCA students and is free. For non-students the cost is £35.
This was excellent!
Many thanks to Jane and Helen.
Please let’s have more like this. I will post some example on the student site
Jim
A really instructive day. Thanks to Jane and Helen. Great to gain expererience in watercolour life studies as well as drawing. It would be good to have more study days possibly in portraiture, measured drawing or the dreaded hands and feet.
