Artlab23 Collective

The Artlab23 Collective was recently established by several final year Painting students and ex-students. The aim of the Collective is to provide a mutually supportive environment which will continue to provide inspiration and impetus post-OCA study. It is open to all students on the Painting, Drawing, and Fine Art pathways who have recently graduated or expect to complete their final year studies within the next 12 months.

Although the Collective is still in its early stages, we have some activities in progress:-

We are currently arranging a landscape themed exhibition planned to take place in Spring/Summer 2024. There will be a submission and selection process for the work which will be curated for this exhibition and all members are welcome to apply. The submission deadline is 30^th November.

As well as the exhibition we have bi-monthly Zoom meetings and a WhatsApp group where members can chat or request advice. The meetings are very relaxed consisting of critiques if people would like to have work reviewed, presentations and group updates. Going forwards it is anticipated that all members of the Collective will contribute by suggesting and organising themes and activities, both online and in person.
