A New President

It is with great pleasure that I am able to announce that the next President of the OCA Students’ Association will be John Umney. John is a level two photography student and was elected unopposed. He will take over his OCASA responsibilities from Stan Dickinson, the inaugural President, at the end of January. John’s election statement and biography are available to read here.
On behalf of all of us at the OCA I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Stan Dickinson for the immense contribution he has made on behalf of students in leading OCASA during its first two years.

This is excellent news for the student body, for OCASA and for OCA. I’m grateful to John for allowing his name to go forward for the role and am delighted that he will be the next President. He and I will will work together to ensure a smooth handover in the next few weeks.
Thanks, John, and many congratulations on your new role.
Stan
Congratulations John! Best of luck with the transition.
Once again Stan, thanks for all your work, and look forward to seeing you at some point in the future.
Chris
Congratulations John! Well deserved—know you will carry on all the fine work that Stan has done.
Congratulations John. I am sure we are in safe hands and many thanks to Stan for his work.
Thanks Dee for those words and let me add my thanks again to Stan and the committee for their hard work during the inaugural phase of OCASA’s existence. I have some very big boots to fill!
Congratulations John. I think you’ll be a great President and certainly carry on all that good work that Stan has done for us. Many thanks again to Stan.
I look forward to working with John and I am grateful to him for putting himself forward.
I owe a personal debt of gratitude to Stan. He has spent a lot of time deploying his considerable talents forming OCASA and getting it to point where the Trustees of the OCA were happy to welcome the OCASA President onto the Board. This was not a foregone conclusion, it is a testament to his skill and determination and students will benefit from these changes long after Stan has graduated.
Thanks Stan for all the hard work and many congratulations John, I’m sure you’ll fill the role admirably…
This is very good news. I am sure John will be an excellent president.
Many thanks for all you have done for us Stan.
Congratulations and welcome, John. And again, thanks to Stan for all he has done.
