Ruth Goury

OCA tutor and assessor Rebecca Fairley looks at the work of Textiles student Ruth Goury.
Rebecca chose to talk about Ruth’s work because of it’s use of process to make discovery. Ruth uses her drawing extremely well in her Textile work and utilises a variety of media when exploring her drawing, showing great focus and consideration for the process instead of the outcome. This is also seen in the presentation of her work for assessment, where she has shown the drawing and explorative work alongside the finished Textile pieces, giving the assessors a great insight into the discoveries she has made.
