How very nice to see work from a creative writing student featured. It doesn’t seem to happen often. Even seeing the way Lindsay has set out her work is very helpful. When I first began the creative writing modules I really felt the lack of simply seeing what the assignments should look like – a simple thing like that held me back for a while.
What Liz says is so true – getting control of the craft of writing comes first, and I am very grateful to these courses for showing me how to do that.
I agree – great to see writing course work featured.
Liz’s reminder that being in control over one’s writing skills is essential to writing well was timely. I have been working on/struggling with a short story with a difficult autibiographical element, but in the light of Liz’s comments I have done a complete redraft today and reasserted my control! Thank you Liz!
