Stefanie Partington

I am a practising Interior Designer based in Norfolk. I am fortunate enough to have worked across a variety of sectors over 22 years both in residential and commercial design, a career which has led me to my current role as an Associate Interior Designer within a large Property Consultancy.

I work on mainly large-scale public-sector projects across the UK, these have included specialist design within Healthcare, Hospice and Dementia as well as Workplace and Education projects. I am currently designing projects centred around creating interior environments for children who have a range of Neurodiverse and Special Educational
Needs. I enjoy the creative problem solving and collaboration involved, working as part of a multidisciplinary team who are working to one goal fulfilling an often-challenging brief.

My focus are those projects which provide life changing opportunities for the users of that space be that a Children’s hospice, SEN School or Dementia Living Village. Making a
difference for those who need it most through considered design is what I’m most passionate about. I am also keen to challenge material used in industry. I strive as a designer to make sustainable and environmentally responsible design decisions such as cradle to cradle material specification.

For the past five years I have combined my industry role with lecturing on the BA Hons in Interior Design at Norwich University of the Arts and am excited to now be extending that role as a tutor for OCA. I am also a registered member of BIID (British Institute of Interior Design) and an Associate Fellow with Advance HE.
