Assessment Policy

Assessment is an important part of study giving you an understanding of the level your work is at

At OCA assessment is at the ned of your unit or course. During the unit you receive feedback on your progress with the aim of helping you to do your best at assessment.

As an arts provider OCA does not have exams, instead assessment is by portfolio and made up f the work and assignments you complete on your course. Our Assessment Policy then explains how we assess, who assesses, and how we ensure quality standards of your work, and the process of assessing.

OCA degrees are awarded by The Open University for students registering for the first time with OCA from August 2022. OCA students who registered before August 2022 can choose to be awarded by The Open University, or by the University for the Creative Arts (up to January 2024).
