Another interesting one, had a conversation very much in line with the first part of the video with my tutor last week, as I’ve been wondering how to integrate the final format and outcome for Landscape HE5 into how I shoot and plan the work I do now.
Interesting what Miranda says about getting hemmed in by your own ideas on what you want the outcome to be, if setting yourself up for it too early. Sounds like a fine balance thing…
You’re right Dewald; it’s a question of finding the right balance between having a focused approach and letting your initial ideas evolve ‘organically’. In my opinion the process is as important as the outcome; the process of engaging with the world via photography I mean. And when you do that your original ideas develop and evolve naturally. it’s just the way it is.
This was ok,i suppose that most photography students do not have
a begining, middle,or end.So there is the tendency to just go along with there ideas, when i do a project,i usualy have a idea of what i want the end result to be,if no one else sees what i was trying to put across, then so be it.At least i know what i was trying to say.
