Virtual study event: Contamination/Curation

The October Keeping up Momentum sessions will aim to motivate and challenge and help you to contextualise your work. There will be two workshops, approximately two hours each, led by OCA tutor Bryan Eccleshall.  The first session will be on October 3 at 10am with a follow-up on the 24

You will be asked to bring some of your own recent work that you feel is effective and will use this as a springboard to research and curate an imaginary exhibition of other student work and established artists, in collaboration with your peers. The exhibition can be mixed media to include texts, music, video etc as well as still images.

Bryan will provide inspiration and guidance and will talk about the importance of being open to ‘contamination’ of your competencies and approach. It is likely that we will talk about what happens when a piece of work undergoes the transition from studio to gallery, or from rehearsal to performance or notebook to publication.

This is open to OCA students at all levels and from any discipline.

Student collaboration will be encouraged and posted on the workshop Padlet.

To sign up, contact Helen Rosemier helen416376@oca.ac.uk and you will be sent a calendar invite with the Zoom log-in details.

Everyone is warmly welcome.
