Study event: Icebreaker Dreaming

Please join OCA Moving Image Tutor and course author Ruth Maclennan on 18 January 2020 at her solo exhibition at Pushkin House in London. Ruth is Research Associate at the Scott Polar Research Institute, Cambridge University.

The exhibition, Icebreaker Dreaming, includes new films, photography, and installation. Her new film Cloudberries, received its premiere this October in the BFI London Film Festival to much acclaim. During the study day Ruth will discuss her research and field work on experiences of climate change in the Russian Arctic, and how she developed the exhibition at Pushkin House.

There will be an opportunity to critique students’ work and look at portfolios. The Study day will appeal to Photography, Moving Image and Fine Art students, as well as to anyone interested in how art can respond to the climate emergency.
