Study event: Gateshead, Newcastle.
OCA students are invited to join tutor Cheryl Huntbach at the Baltic, this Saturday 14 September from 11am.
Cheryl invites students to bring a range of drawing, writing and recording equipment, as we will use drawing, notation and annotation as a means of visual research, and engaging with works in the exhibitions.
Before the visit take a look at the exhibitions currently showing at the Baltic, there are several possibilities available, yet to enable us to more fully engage with the work with some useful depth- we will focus upon three:
‘Survey’, supported by the Jerwood Arts, John Akomfrah, ‘Ballasts of Meaning’ and Ifeoma U. Anyaeji, ‘Ezuhu-ezu – In (complete)’
There is the option of a brief tour of the Baltic at 13.30 by their invigilators. We can schedule lunch and an afternoon break, to suit our needs.
If you are interested in attending at short notice please complete the booking form here.
Please note there is a £10 booking fee for this event.
