Young Collections Professional of the Year
Newly enrolled student Jenny Webb comes to the OCA as the proud winner of the Young Collections Professional of the Year 2014. The Award is offered by UK charity the Collections Trust and recognises Jenny’s current role as Exhibitions and Collections Assistant at The Lightbox gallery and museum in Surrey.
The judging panel, representing The Collections Trust, Arts Council England, Manchester Museum, National Museums Scotland and the Guardian’s Culture Professionals Network, said it was “an outstanding example of how dedication and commitment can lead to new opportunities, truly inspirational”.
Jenny has taken up the new Creative Arts Today course having decided to “begin a degree to widen my knowledge of the arts and everything that I have learnt at The Lightbox so far”.
