• I heard Sophie deliver a lecture on her work in November,2012 at the University of Plymouth. She is an excellent and engaging speaker who is very generous in answering questions fully, not assuming any prior knowledge or ignorance on the part of the person asking the question.

• I went to see the exhibition recently at the Grimaldi gallery; if you are going the gallery isn’t well signposted, although the number 25 is very prominent – there is a general reception inside the lobby where they will help. • This is really interesting, thank you. Trying to draw at the telescope eyepiece was one of the things that propelled me back to art and I have recently been using astronomy as a theme in my printmaking, so this connects beautifully.

• I found this intriguing. It was such an interesting report. In a similar vein was an exhibition at the Dundee Contemporary arts centre of the work of Hiraki Sawa. The exhibition is now closed but a page on the website provides some background, has some pictures and contains a film clip of the artist talking about his work. A specially commissioned part of the exhibition was based on the Mills Observatory in Dundee and the artists response.
