RPS show

The Royal Photographic Society International Print Exhibition is now in its 154th edition. The exhibition showcases a wide variety of established, emerging and amateur photography and is the longest standing exhibition of its kind in the world. The exhibition is at the Barnsley Civic Gallery which is just down the road from the OCA head office, so Jose Navarro will be taking a break from assessment on Friday 9 March from 11.30 to 14.00 to host a study visit. We know that lots of students are interested in the RPS and this is an opportunity to look last year’s winners and decide if you have what it takes to win this year.
The 155th International Print Exhibition closing date is 21 March and the chairman of the panel is Tom Hunter. You do not need to be a RPS member to enter.
To reserve a place on the study visit please email enquiries@oca-uk.com

  • its’ a long way to go from the south but as someone interested in the print as a product rather than merely onscreen images, I have decided to make the pilgrimage.
Narrow Road to the Deep North, as Basho wrote!

  • This is really worth a visit, I wasn’t sure if I could get time off for the study visit so I popped in last week when I was visiting my inlaws and was pleasantly surprised.
The gallery is spacious, airy and perfect to show off the images, I didn’t like everything, but there were some that really impressed me.
I’m writing my notes up at the moment so will share them once the visit has happened as I’d be interested in seeing other peoples thoughts.

    • Hi Sarah
Sorry we will not see you at this show but glad you enjoyed it.
For anyone considering coming, we have added to the OCA team. In addition to myself and Jose Navarro, Maggy Milner is also joining us. Maggy is a photography tutor and assessor
