Photography study visits
Two new opportunities for OCA students to join photography Course Leaders on study visits.
On 9 February Alan Whetton will be leading an afternoon visit in in Bradford. The afternoon will include visits to two exhibitions at the National Media Museum, Land Revisited by Fay Godwin and Back Home by Swedish photographers Anders Petersen and JH Engström and the Joy Gregory retrospective, Lost Languages and other voices at the Impressions Gallery. Spaces are limited for this afternoon visit as Alan’s students were given first refusal and 11 have taken up the offer.
Then on 12 March, Jose Navarro and Gareth Dent will be hosting a full day study visit to the Format Photography Festival in Derby. This year the festival is turning it’s attention to street photography. Exact details are to be confirmed, but there will be plenty to see and talk about. And students attending the last festival visit in Brighton in November seemed to get a lot out of it – read Eileen’s post on the day here.
In addition to being able to see lots of photography, these visits are great ways to meet other OCA students.
To reserve your place on either of these visits please send an email to email@example.com The study visits are free and open to all OCA students, not just those studying photography. Don’t forget to specify which date you are interested in. If you have already confirmed a place for the February visit with Alan there is no need to email.
