Photographer artist Johanna Ward has agreed to join us on the Saturday 6 December for a few hours of impassioned discussion on the subject of photo books, narrative photography and beyond. Those who were at the recent Brighton Study visit may remember her work – see video – entitled “I shall say goodbye with my strengthening love for you, forever and ever”. The event will begin with Johanna talking about her work, which explores relationships; between humans and nature, and those between people, before moving to discuss student’s work. Please bring one key project that you’re working on with reference material and rough prints; this can be a series, or a singular photograph that has inspired an idea. There will be ample chance for questions, so come prepared to discuss and be discussed!
Space will be limited for this event to be held in Thatcham near Newbury. Although this event is being organised by the OCA Students’ Association, bookings are being handled by the OCA office. Places are free to OCA students. To book your place email enquiries@oca-uk.com
