Go west…

The next OCA photography study visit is on Thursday 17 November, where Jose Navarro and I will be visiting the 2011 Hereford Photography Festival. There is an awful lot to see and talk about, so we will be starting at 10.30 and will aim to finish before 4pm. Places are free and likely to be in high demand so please email enquiries@oca-uk.com to book.

  • Oh Goody …… I was considering a trip to the HPF in any case so it would be great to have the company of other students, the two of you and a more structured visit. Just applied and fingers crossed 🙂

  • Hi,
I’ve just been given a place and, as I’m new to all this, would appreciate some guidance on when and where to meet up, etc.
    Thanks,
    Graham

  • Hi Graham
There will be a briefing note emailed to you about a week before the visit. This will give you meeting details, an outline itinerary for the day and suggested websites to look at/articles to read. For the moment if you are booking train tickets just get a ticket that gets you to Hereford for 10.30 and a return for around 4.
I look forward to meeting you.
    Gareth

  • Hi Gareth,
Many thanks for the information. Train tickets are already looking a little pricey so I think I am going to drive up on the day from Bath. If anyone is interested in car sharing please let me know.

  • Fellow students kindly keep me informed of any photo festivals or exhibitions holding in april 2012 . Best regards.

Hi Graham, Dave B (from Midsomer Norton) here. I and a student from Bath (Stephanie) will be sharing transport for the Hereford event. There is also a student from Devon (who may come part way by train) and one from Swindon (TBC)so lots of options. I’ll be in touch after this weekend and we’ll sort something out.
    Cheers, Dave B.

  • @DaveB
    Hi DaveB,
Thanks for the reply. Sounds like there are several travel possibilities. I’ll watch this space.
    Cheers,
    GrahamM
