Someone who practices, focuses, and tries again and again to get it right. Patricia Farrar, OCA Drawing student, so impressed the assessors, that her work was put forward for consideration for the annual Richard Robbins Award, and she won. The outcome for her has been the creation of a website for her artwork by OCA, and a double page spread about her work in Artist and Illustrator’s magazine, as well as several other PR events. Richard Robbins, sculptor, painter and printmaker, was an OCA trustee for many years and when he died in 2009, OCA set up this award in his honour. Take a look at this video about Patricia’s work and tell us if you agree with our choice of award winner.
