Study Visit: Edinburgh
The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art has recently been rehung showcasing a range of painting, sculpture and installation from the twentieth and twenty- first centuries from their extensive permanent collection. There are rooms dedicated to post war figurative art, post-modern painting, abstract expressionism as well as a series of rooms named Reflections which highlight individual contemporary artists such as Cathy Wilkes and Gabriel Orozco.
Also on show are fifty drawings, photographs and prints of the human head taken from both the modern and historic collection.
