One more cup of coffee…

Planning is now in full swing for the autumn season of study visits and the first to open for booking is to the Whitechapel Open on Thursday 13 September. This is an exciting show and is a chance to see a major survey of work in a wide range of media. Personally I am looking forward to seeing Paul Westcombe’s drawing. We will get a tour led by a member of the gallery staff (anyone who has been to previous study visits at the Whitechapel will know how good these tours are). Also joining the group will be a new face to regular study visitors, tutor Hayley Lock – you can check out her work on her website here and what she is up to on her blog. This is a visit not to be missed.
The usual arrangements apply – the study visit will start at 10.45 and last for between two and three hours. Places are free – to book send an email to enquiries@oca-uk.com
If you can’t make 13 September, take a look at the future study visits we have planned. We will be adding others and announcing the booking arrangements over the coming months.

  • Thanks to Gareth and Haley for a really great day out at the gallery, It was great to meet everyone there and was a thought provoking experience

  • A very enjoyable visit even though the amount of work there made it difficult to do justice to some of the exhibits. Hayley’s suggestion to focus on one or two pieces was good advice and I did just that, relating them to my current project. And it was a nice cup of coffee.
    Many thanks Gareth and Hayley.

  • What a great day out! This exhibition contextually was loaded due to the nature of an ‘Open’ but thanks to the generosity of all students and staff present, it gave us a great deal to ponder, discuss and take away with us for further discourse.
Well done for containing all that information given to us by our knowledgeable guide.
