I was so moved by this. It seems a very brave thing to do, and a tribute to her mother who has such a beautiful and expressive face. So much life, so much emotion, comes through in the paintings and drawings, which a simple photograph could not show.
I think this video will chime with many of our students – I have seen so many deeply felt projects about family, ageing and memory over the years at OCA and it is always a privilege.
I agree with Emma – as Lynda’s tutor for this module I felt privileged to be able to share and observe her sensitive and expressive approach to this artistic journey, which must have been quite raw and emotional at times.
What a marvelous piece of work and a tribute to her mother and the family life which she has been part of. Drawings rather than just photographs go so deep within us so whatever we draw then becomes imprinted on our memories. Thank you for sharing this with us.
