Blog of the week – Krystina Robertson

Krystina Robertson is a bit ambitious. She’s enrolled on three level one courses: drawing, painting and sculpture. However, when you see her blog you will note that she came to the OCA with a kit bag of skills and experiences, including the ability to make a very lively blog, which is brimming with details of her research, reflections and the stages of each of her projects. Kristina recognises that she’s taken on a lot but is slowly progressing on all three courses. Take a look at her work and her struggles to improve her work here.

  • Enjoyed your blog and seeing the work from all the different courses. Do you have a favourite or does it change according to what you are working on?

    • maybe Drawing I for slowly learning how to see, Painting I for the pleasure of colour and the faster course pace (Drawing I seems like so much more work than any other course, or is it just me?). Sculpture I is a bit of a struggle, but it has so much potential, it just needs more self-motivation than I could muster so far. But I will get back on track there.

  • Your drawings and paintings are very good, and I think its great that you have made various versions of the same subject, as I tend to be a bit lax about that. Its nice to see what someone else is doing – I am not good with computers myself so a blog is not really possible!!
    All the best

  • If you click on the word ‘here’ highlighted in red at the end of the blog post this will take you to the blog. This is an embedded web link, and is something we do quite often on this blog, so worth understanding for future reference.
