This is the last of the National Galleries of Scotland’s Scottish Colourists series and complements the earlier study trip to the Peploe exhibition. John Duncan Fergusson (1874-1981), was self-taught. Moving to Paris in his early thirties, he soon became influenced by the exciting developments there. He met and married Margaret Morris, the pioneer dancer, who became an inspiration for much of his work. There is a review of the exhibition from The Scotsman here. The OCA will be running a study visit on Thursday 8 May. Places are free to OCA students, to book please email enquiries@oca-uk.com
