Vocab: Issue 2
Being part of OCASA’s creative writing magazine, Vocab, is a wonderful, collaborative experience, and gives a dedicated space to recognise the writing talent we have at OCA, which can sometimes feel missed because it is not a visual art form – though poets might disagree!
We’ve kept the second issue a little shorter and, as with all learning, Vocab will continue to develop and transform with each issue. Student feedback is important and greatly appreciated, as we’d like to know what you want from your creative writing magazine. A recurring theme from submissions is the environment, and so the next issue will focus on nature and climate change.
This is also a great opportunity to introduce new editor, Sophie Edwards, who will be working alongside Justin McReynolds, your Creative Writing Student Representative and Vocab Editor, to ensure Vocab is the best it can be for OCA students.
It’s exciting to think how the magazine will unfold going forward, and a great inspiration for students to have a dedicated space within their community to showcase talent.
