Mi OCASA es su OCASA

OCA’s student association or OCASA for short, is a group of altruist students representing the vibrant and diverse body of creative people studying foundations, undergraduate and postgraduate courses in fine art, photography, music, creative writing, textiles and visual communications, to name but a few, with the Open College of the Arts.
OCASA is the voice of OCA students, consulting with the college and influencing developments to continually improve your student experience. So if you have something you want to say, get it heard by one of your reps. Make change happen.
OCA’s study events calendar is developed in collaboration with OCASA. Together with HQ, OCASA work to provide a range of opportunities for students to get together, share and collaborate and we are developing our offering all the time. These events range from regional group meet – ups, tutor led gallery visits, practical workshops, virtual crits and overseas visits for example to Arles and Copenhagen.
The South West Group have just held Osmosis an exhibition of student and tutor work and there is a recently formed Swiss/Europe group just starting out. Others are sprouting up all the time, if there isn’t one in your area, why not get it started?!
Both students and tutors can request funding and suggest activities to run. Access means providing an extracurricular activity that all* students can opt into if they wish. We are open to suggestions and are here to support you, so please contact studyevents@oca.ac.uk if you have an idea you would like to explore.
Watch this space for guidance on study events which will be released shortly.
If you are interested in taking on the role of an OCASA rep and supporting your peers do get in touch with ocasa@oca.ac.uk. Visit the website to see any vacancies. http://www.ocasa.org.uk/representation/

*HMP students and students in secure facilities may not be able to avail of study events.
This has been our thirteenth day of #accessoca
