As part of the #weareoca30 campaign we are having creative conversations with some of our tutors. Watch and listen to OCA tutor and assessor Cheryl Huntbach below answering questions from students in part 1 of her video. Part 2 will follow where Cheryl speaks about her work.

  • Thank you! These ‘In Conservation’ videos are wonderful – very helpful! and having the same questions answered repeatedly (not sure if that’s the ongoing plan oca?) helps to clarify certain concepts for me (e.g. personal voice). Also practical advice from someone who really knows is priceless – “setting up the conditions to make work” the night before is so obvious (just like yelling at the kids to have their school bags ready!) but it seems like I needed to be told it myself. Thank you again!

  • Thank you for your comments Kimbolina, glad to hear you are finding them helpful. ‘In Conversation’ looks like it will develop into a rich and diverse resource across programmes. Thank you to Leanne and Alice for coming along to video and for your great editing.

  • Thanks so much for this Cheryl. You have provided such practical advice about drawing regularly when life is busy, and about finding ways to overcome those inevitable blocks. And thought the exhibition was wonderful. The lines of the drawings were so delicate, and looked amazing when presented together. I found it very inspiring. And I’m off to buy a 3D pen! Thank you!
