Art and environment weekend in London

Join OCA tutors Dan Robinson and Melissa Thompson in London on the 28 and 29 July for two days of lively summer workshops.
We’re looking for OCA students from any discipline to come together to Meet, Think, Do, Make and Chat. Together we will cultivate ideas for you to take home to nurture.
The objective of the workshop is to

  • Meet other creative people and share your ideas
  • Think about nature’s influence on art and design whilst recording your experiences (image and text)
  • Improve and experiment with drawing / photography
  • Have fun with tools and materials, try alternative ways of using a tool
  • Challenge your creative thinking; generate ideas and new ways of working

Students can attend one or both days and if you can’t make the London event, Dan is running an Art and Environment study day at Yorkshire Sculpture Park on the 26 August.
If you are interested in the subject area but unable to attend any event Dan will be hosting a google hangout/meet to discuss the ideas on Wednesday 5 September. Those who attended physically are also welcome to hangout, share and review student responses, visual work and research in an online shared space.
Saturday 28 July will be at Phytology, Bethnal Green, London and Sunday 29 July will be held at South London Botanical Institute (SIBI), London.

The title of the event is Ideas from the soil and the itinerary is as follows:
