This study visit to see Peter Doig’s work will be on Thursday 10th October 2013 at the Scottish National Gallery, Edinburgh. This exhibition focusses on paintings done in the last ten years. Living in Trinidad, Doig uses serial motifs and recurring imagery in a direct reaction to his surroundings. His colourful works also link to twentieth century European painting, in particular Matisse, Bonnard and Bacon. The visit will be hosted by Emma Drye and Olivia irvine.
