Foundation courses: Designed to introduce you to a creative discipline, build your confidence and familiarise you with the study skills you need to study from home. 

Foundation Courses

Short courses: Focusing on a single topic, short courses run for 8-10 weeks. Designed and led by OCA’s expert tutors, you will go deep into a topic and develop expertise yourself in topical issues.

Short Courses

Students under the age of 18 are ineligible to study undergraduate or postgraduate courses. 

Once you’ve picked your course, it’s time to complete an enrolment form, select your intake date and make payment.

Although the contract for the services OCA provides is directly with you, if you are under the age of 18, payment can only be accepted from your parent/guardian/carer on your behalf.

Head over to the course page and you’ll see an online form. 

You’ll need to have one or two of the forms below ready to upload within the online form.

• Permission from full-time education provider (download template here)*

*If you’re already enrolled in another programme full-time, your school will need to give permission for you to study a part-time course with Open College of the Arts.

Once you’ve submitted your enrolment form, we’ll check to make sure your application is complete, locate your tutor support and assess any necessary safeguarding restrictions for your chosen course. 

Once we have a tutor confirmed and everything’s checked, you’ll receive confirmation of your place for one of our monthly intakes with further details of the course and how to get started.
