I’m a graphic designer who takes an informed approach to design. My current practice involves designing for a diverse range of applications but with focus on delivering identities and brand campaigns through strategic processes.
After graduating with a degree in Visual Communication at Leeds College of Art, I have spent the last 6 years working in-house and agency side for a variety of well known business in the UK and Internationally, from high-street retailer Hawes & Curtis on integrated campaigns to helping rebrand The World Bank Groups commercial investor arm and everything in between!
I have an interest in education and improving access to the creative industries, and understand the challenges there are for those from underprivileged backgrounds. This is my primary reason for becoming a tutor with the OCA as I would like help prepare those looking for a career in our industry better as well as opening up opportunities to a greater number of people as am firm believer the best design and innovation comes from a diverse and representative workforce.
I am currently working as a Freelance Designer in London and you can see more of my work at http://www.asheck.com/
