I began my OCA studies in April 2012. I chose OCA on the recommendation of another OCA student at my local art group. I had just been diagnosed with ME and needed a creative outlet to build up my self-esteem. OCA looked and felt right and promised the inclusive approach I sought. Distance learning delivers direct to your door with no accessibility restrictions.
My practice has grown in tandem with my confidence. I have become more adventurous and ambitious. I often seek opportunities to work collaboratively with the public to share the joy of creativity; something I would never have dreamt of before. The real joy of OCA studies is that the courses are well-structured and supported with tutors that guide you from the student you are to the artist you wish to be.
