As an educator, I am now delighted to be working for the OCA. I have previously eaten chickens feet with the American conceptual artist Lawrence Weiner; worked on a residency in deepest Transylvania; and been in a garden shed with two lions, but it is the conversations I have with students that continue to inspire me on a weekly basis.
I also hold positions at the University of the West of England in Bristol (UWE), where I am Programme Leader for MA Graphic Arts and Senior Lecturer on the BA(Hons) Graphic Design course. I have been teaching for 15 years.
I have: an MA in Photographic Studies from the University of Derby (1998), a PG Cert: Teaching & Learning in Higher Education, from UWE Bristol (2009), and a BA(Hons) Design Photography, from the University of Plymouth (1995).
As a creative I am interested in all forms of representation, but particularly the photographic image. I work to commission, exhibit regularly and look to publish catalogues to accompany larger or touring shows when I can. I have recently been completing a commission with Exeter Pheonix and the University of Exeter to explore 3D printing.
