Natasha Russell

I’m an artist, Illustrator, printmaker, teacher and technician currently based in Scotland. My interest in the interplay art, design and education has lead me to work on various collaborations and commissions in the UK and further afield.

My own research explores the way that we look at the world through a web of scientific, cultural and personal knowledge. I investigate this by weaving drawing together disparate pieces of information into large-scale drawings, prints and installations that are often intricate and surreal.

Linked into this ongoing research is an interest in developing work that uses drawing and print to respond to specific spaces, to cross disciplines and collaborate with others.

Learning about teaching different artistic processes and finding ways to enable wide ranges of people to engage with art is a key part of what I do. I’m always interested in developing my understanding of different methods and the wider art world in order support and inspire learning in all sorts of environments.
