Refine your teaching skills with a course that focuses on experiential learning theory. By examining weekly videos, case studies and drawing from the experiences of educators, the materials guide you to create a session plan that encourages students to experiment, reflect, and adapt, creating an environment where creative problem-solving can thrive.

You will learn through a series of video lectures, reflection activities, and feedback from with a tutor, all delivered through our virtual learning platform (OCA Learn).

This course is ideal for artists, teachers, teaching assistants, gallery/museum educators, and students interested in exploring creative approaches within learning and teaching.

No prior knowledge is required, making the course fully accessible to those learning from home. You will need:
- 10 study hours per week
- Access to a laptop or computer with internet access

The Creative Education short course offers a space for learners to explore the dynamic relationship between education and creativity. This eight week course is ideal for artists, teachers, teaching assistants, gallery / museum educators, and students interested in alternative creative approaches within teaching and learning. The Creative Education short course introduces key educational theory, in particular experiential learning – an approach that places value on the process of learning: the doing, the making. Through group discussion, reflection, weekly videos and tasks, learners will be guided to enact a creative change within their own education context.
