They all come high on the list of absolute nail-biters for students of the creative arts – and they were all addressed in some way at the most recent meeting of the OCASA Thames Valley (Photography) Group.

On winning second place in the 2016 Yeovil Literary Prize

By | BA Hons creative writing, Creative Writing, Student Work

The moment I gave my character a name (it flew unbidden into my head) he became a widower working at Arrivals and Departures in a busy airport. In the post I will use a number of practitioners to illustrate the diverse ways textile practices and materials are used.

By | artist interview, Fine Art, We Are OCA

“I would say self portraits grant you a lot more freedom than portraits do. When drawing friends I worry about causing offence by focusing on their ‘imperfections’. But it’s those imperfections that make a person who they are. When drawing myself I don’t think twice about depicting every dark shadow, every wrinkle, misplaced hair or roll of fat.”
