Brexit Advice

Information to applicants

In the case of either a deal or ‘no deal’ Brexit, OCA will continue to accept applications from students who live and study abroad, both within the EU and from non-EU countries. OCA will also continue to honour the existing fee arrangements for EU residents post-Brexit.

Information for existing students

Existing EU/EEA/Swiss students are a valued part of our community. In the event of the UK leaving the EU without a deal, we will continue to support and provide services to our students to allow ongoing engagement and completion of study. OCA will honour existing EU fee policy for students who are re-enrolling to OCA courses.

Legal Information

In the event that the UK leaves the EU on 29 March 2019 without a deal, and no formal transition period applies, UK legislation and associated requirements will apply in all circumstances including the Data Protection Act 2018 to all parties, with the exception of residents of the EU. For residents of the EU, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will continue to apply.

Information for staff

We are following the guidance provided by Universities UK, and working with partners at UCA to ensure that any transition is carefully managed to avoid disruption to students or staff.
